Life Out West

I moved out West to the great Salt Lake Valley almost 8 months ago!  It is crazy to me how fast time quickly flies by.  Life here has been completely wonderful, even though, I must admit that it has been so hard living a ridiculous amount of miles away from my family.  I'm not sure I really thought about how hard it was going to be.  I will have to say that it was the bravest thing I have ever done.  I moved here without a job and without a real plan, and I don't regret a single bit of it!  The first day I was here I had an interview with McConkie Law Offices for a paralegal position, which I now have!  I was truly blessed to have found a job so quickly.  A few months after being here, Emilee and I moved into our own apartment and out of her grandma's  house.  We have LOVED it, minus the fact that I actually have to pay bills now.  The mountains are absolutely gorgeous.  Living next to them is breathtaking.  So far this ski season, I've only been able to go snowboarding once.  I'm hoping next year I can get more powder time in! The music scene here is sooo much bigger than in Myrtle.  It's so fun! The hardest thing for me since I moved here is adjusting to working full time in the professional world.  No school, no spring break, no summer break, no winter break...it is the strangest thing.  But I will admit that I cannot wait to get back into school.  Working at the law firm is teaching me so much, but I cannot wait to get back to school!! My plan is to take the LSAT in June and have about 3 months after I get my results back to narrow down which schools I will apply to for early decision in October/November.  Hopefully by the beginning of 2013 I will know where I will be going to law school at.  The future is unsure, but I am excited for what is to come!
